PCB umpiring course concludes

HYDERABAD: A three-day umpiring course organised by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) concluded at the Niaz Stadium on Saturday. Thirty umpires from Hyderabad and Larkana regions attended the course.

PCB’s manager umpires and referees Bilal Qureshi supervised the course. His deputy Abdul Hameed, match referee of PCB’s panel Iftikhar Ahmed, first class umpire Imtiaz Iqbal also briefed the participants about cricket laws.

Bilal disclosed that PCB is organising such courses in Pakistan’s 16 regions in order to improve standards of umpiring and increase knowledge of the umpires. He said that umpires were being well taken care of during the course.

PCB Hyderabad region president Mir Suleman Talpur, district cricket association (DCA) Hyderabad Shakeel Qureshi, match referee of PCB’s panel Iqbal Sheikh, Abdul Hussain Shah, Ahmed Ali Jafri, DCA Sanghar president Jan Mohammad Wassan were also present on the occasion.
