Sarfraz is like a brother and I support him like always: Hasan

Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali on Thursday clarified that he has no problems with captain Sarfraz Ahmed and that the minor on-field disagreement the two had during the tour of New Zealand earlier this year has long been been forgotten, forgiven.

Hasan and Sarfraz, during the second T20I against the Black Caps, were caught on camera in a rare moment of disagreement, with the former appearing to flout the latter's instructions.

Sarfraz, a famously hands-on skipper, had later told the media that there was nothing going on between him and Hasan and that the two get along just fine.

And now Hasan has echoed his skipper's sentiments, telling media men that his relationship with Sarfraz is just as strong as ever.

"These things happen during the match," said Hasan, adding that he had tendered an apology to Sarfraz shortly afterwards.

"Sarfraz is like a brother and I love and support him the same way I did in the past," he added.

Hasan missed the start of the Pakistan Super League 2018 due to an injury but once fit, he was again a force to be reckoned with.

He said he is completely fit and raring to represent Pakistan in the upcoming three-match T20I series against the West Indies.

Hasan also defended his performance in the PSL 2018 final when he was bled for 53 runs — most of which came off the bat of player of the tournament, Luke Ronchi.

The fast bowler said his team needed wickets, which is why his priority was to bowl attacking line and length instead of containing the batsmen.
