Illegal football factory unearthed

SIALKOT: A police team raided a mini factory near Motra in Daska illegally producing footballs featuring the design and trademark of a renowned Danish football producing company.

The factory belonged to Muhammad Afzal, who along with the labourers, fled from the scene.

Motra police registered a case under sections 420, 468 and 471 of the PPC and 66-A Copyright Act against Afzal on the report of the Denmark-based company’s representative, Chaudhry Bashir Ahmed.

BODIES FOUND: A woman and her son were found dead in the courtyard of their house in Daska city’s congested Younasabad locality here today.

Police claimed that Majeeda Bibi, 52, and her son Abdul Waheed, 23, had been killed with repeated attacks of a sharp-edged weapon and then shot at. The suspects had locked the house from outside.

Neighbours saw blood spilling out of the door and informed police about it. Daska City police shifted the bodies to Civil Hospital for autopsy.

Police are investigating the incident with no clue or arrest till the filing of this report.
