RAWALPINDI: District chapter of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI) women wing on Wednesday agitated against Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah and State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali for being ‘abusive’ towards women.

The protest was held outside the Rawalpindi Press Club under the leadership of PTI Women Wing’s District President Farah Agha and was participated by more than 100 workers and supporters.

The protesters were holding placards and banners and also chanting slogans against PML-N leaders including Rana Sanaullah and Abid Sher Ali for using filthy language against women workers of PTI.

Farah Agha, the district president, in her address to protesters, vehemently denounced Sanaullah and Abid and called upon the top leadership of the ruling party to take action against the duo.

She said both had used offensive language against the women of PTI in their videos that went viral on social media.

Farah was of the view that PML-N leaders had never used such language against their own party workers belonging to women wing but targeted PTI workers and leaders.

“I denounce the misogynistic remarks made by Rana Sana and Abid Sher Ali and ask PML-N chief Mian Shehbaz Sharif to take action against them,” said another protester.

She said women workers of PTI are daughters of the nation and deserve respect. Other protesters also lashed out at Rana and Abid for allegedly abusing women and asked them to tender their apologies.
