Pak Army, PAF coduct joint exercise at Jhelum firing ranges
Pakistan Army and Pakistan Air Force tested their joint conventional firepower capability in a central command exercise at Jhelum firing ranges, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.
Commander Central Command Lieutenant General Azhar Saleh Abbasi briefed the audience about aims, objectives and conduct of the exercise.
According to the ISPR, the exercise marked culmination of a process aimed at integrating all available firepower assets held by both the army and air force.
Various concepts related to the integration of firepower assets in support of offensive and defensive manoeuvres in a conventional war were practiced during the exercise, the ISPR said.
Chief of the general staff, Lieutenant General Bilal Akbar witnessed the concluding event along with a large number of senior army and air force officers.
According to the ISPR, General Bilal applauded the efforts of all ranks in making the exercise professionally rewarding and reiterated the requirement for continuous efforts to hone their professional skills.
