120 villages in Attock provided gas, says minister
TAXILA: Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmad on Sunday said the government was committed to providing basic facilities to the citizens, especially in the far-flung areas.
He said during the last five years, 120 villages in the district of Attock were provided gas at a cost of billions of rupees.
The minister was addressing a gathering after inaugurating a gas facility in Garyala village of Attock.
He said the project had been completed at a cost of Rs800 million and would benefit 1,200 families.
The provision of gas would also help check deforestation in the area as the residents had to cut trees for its use as a fuel in the past, he added.
He said the government had put the country on the track of development despite hurdles created by its opponents.
He said record development projects were completed in the country.
The minister said the government also resolved the power crisis and ended loadshedding besides controlling terrorist activities.
