New directors for Fast and Furious spinoff

Filmmaker David Leitch has been selected to direct the untitled Fast and Furious spinoff film that stars Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham.

Johnson and Statham will be reprising their Fast and Furious franchise roles as Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw, respectively, in the film that is set to hit theatres on July 26, 2019.

Leitch is best known for directing the upcoming Deadpool 2; he now will be directing from a script by Chris Morgan, who has penned six instalments of the action series.

However, Johnson recently said that he wasn’t “quite sure” if he would be starring in the next mainline entry in the series, Fast and Furious 9, due to the on-set feud he had with star Vin Diesel. “Right now I’m concentrating on making the spinoff as good as it can be,” Johnson said.

New sci-fi thriller Life on Mars

John Krasinski, the director of A Quiet Place is set to direct a new sci-fi thriller, Life on Mars. Krasinski is re-teaming with the producers of A Quiet Place, including Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller on the project, while Paramount is in negotiations to acquire the distribution rights to Life on Mars.

Life on Mars is based on a short story by graphic novelist Cecil Castellucci titled We have Always Lived on Mars. The story follows a woman who is among a group of descendants of a Martian colony abandoned by Earth following a cataclysm. Her world is then turned upside down when she discovers that she can breathe the air on Mars.

Krasinski is not expected to star in the new film, but will also produce.

Spice Girls will tour and make new music, confirms Mel B

Well Mel B has finally confirmed when asked, are the Spice Girls going to tour or not? “We are in the works of figuring stuff out,” she said. “All five of us have signed with Simon Fuller. I can’t say exactly what and when but it’s exciting.’ She added: ‘We won’t go on tour immediately, but maybe we will soon.”

When asked if there would be new music, she coyly replied: “[There will be] a bit of everything.” Mel went on to clear up rumours of a rift in the band, revealing the five simply “bicker like sisters” and have never fallen out.

“We all do really get on, and when you all go through something so huge together, we only had each other, so we have a bond no one can break,” she said. She added: “We didn’t fall out, we’re like five sisters, we’ve always got each other’s back.”

So with this revelation, we hope that the Spice Girls will soon be bringing spice to their fans life.
