GUJRAT: National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) has established an executive passport office here offering “one window” service to those seeking the travel document in the region.
Chaudhary Jaffar Iqbal, Minister of State for Maritime Affairs, inaugurated the office located along the old GT Road near Service Mor on Friday evening.
Nadra chairman Usman Mobin, DG (Projects) Zulfiqar Ali, DG (Islamabad) Zulfiqar Ahmed and passport office Assistant Director Hayat Tarrar were also present.
Besides one-window facility, the office also offers swift, hassle-free walk-in processing, fast-track data/bio-metric data acquisition, home-delivery of passport and fee submission under one roof.
It is 13th such facility set up by Nadra across the country.
Mr Hayat Tarrar said 75 applicants could be entertained daily at the new facility which he said would help reduce the rush at the already functional passport office that is handling some 400 to 450 applicants daily.
