Two killed over volleyball match

SIALKOT: Two local volleyball players were shot dead and three others were injured seriously by the four players of a rival team over a match dispute at village Kot Baagriyaan-Daallowali on Tuesday.

A volleyball match was going on when the four suspects, including Shehryar alias Sherry, opened fire on the players of a team. The firing left Yasir and Pervaiz dead on the spot while Asim, Shaukat and Shabbir received serious injuries.

The suspects had a dispute over a match they had played with the victims earlier and they had nurtured a grudge against them. They fled while firing into the air and while the injured were shifted to Govt Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital Sialkot in a critical condition.

The police have registered a case and arrested Shehryar.
