Graduates asked to work for country’s progress

KOHAT: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra on Friday urged the graduating students to work hard as they would have to tackle challenges in their practical life and shoulder responsibilities for development ofthe country.

Speaking to the graduating students on the occasion of 10th convocation of Kohat University of Science and Technology (KUST), he said that efforts for progress and development should not stop. He said that they had defeated the enemy in long war against terrorism and the history showed that such nations conquered new heights.

The convocation was attended by KUST vice-chancellor Prof Jamil Ahmad, faculty members, graduating students and their parents.

“We have proved that we are a brave and courageous nation. I expect the youth to keep faith in their abilities. Always direct your energies with honesty towards your goals, the betterment of the society and development of Pakistan,” the governor said while advising the fresh graduates. He added that if they were able to do so there was nothing which could stop them from achieving prosperity and development.

Later, Mr Jhagra distributed degrees and medals among the 230 graduating students.
