PTI responsible for power outages, alleges Muqam

SHANGLA: PML-N provincial president Amir Muqam has said that his party will create job opportunities for the Shangla youth if it formed government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He urged the people to vote for his party in the July 25 general elections.

He was addressing a meeting of his party workers at his residence in Alpuri on Thursday. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz candidate for PK-23, Mohammad Rashad, Bakht Alam and tehsil nazim Mohammad Tahir also spoke on the occasion.

He claimed that PTI was responsible for massive power loadshedding in the province and said that Imran Khan’s claim of building 350 dams had proved wrong. He alleged the PTI’s government had failed to initiate even a single mini-power station during its tenure.

Mr Muqam said that the PML-N government added 12,000 megawatts of electricity to the national grid which had decreased power outages in the country.

“PTI chariman Imran Khan has ruined Peshawar by launching the BRT project. The people will continue to suffer due the project for years,” he said.

The PML-N president urged the people to cast their vote in favour of PML-N, democracy and development of their area. He also asked the workers to participate in the PML-N rally scheduled to be held in Peshawar in support of Nawaz Sharif.

Meanwhile, the tehsil administration in Puran removed illegal encroachments in the bazaar. Puran AC Zamin Khan accompanied by a TMA team and police carried out the operation following complaints by the local elders.

The TMA team removed about six shops built illegally in the bazaar, which were causing trouble for the pedestrians. Mr Zamin said that encroachments would not be tolerated and action would be taken against the violators.
