All that glitters is not gold

This is regarding the article “All that glitters is not gold” by Amal Fatima (YW, April 12).

It is true that most people waste their money on useless things, thinking that the more unique and expensive are the things they wear, the more amazing they will look.

But in reality, looks never remain the same, they fade eventually. It is the inner qualities, which makes us beautiful.

A precious gift for an invaluable person

This is with reference to the cover story “A precious gift for an invaluable person” by Yasmin Elahi (YW, May 12). The writer highlighted the importance of mothers.

The best gifts for them would be to understand their feelings, spend time with them and give importance to them. We should change our manners and behaviour towards them and understand the importance of mothers in our life.

II

The article “A precious gift for an invaluable person” by Yasmin Elahi was a wonderful write-up. A mother sacrifices to an unimaginable level for her children. She always wishes that her children stay happy. For a mother, a child will always remain a child even if he or she attains the age of grey hair.

In return of her sacrifices, we should show obedience and take care of her in every stage of life. It was such a beautiful piece of writing. Today, I have realised how much a mother does for us. I realise that we can never return what good mothers do for us. Heaven and mother are synonyms.

Wonder crafts

This is regarding the “Folded sticks card for mum” by Asif Ali (YW, May 12). I appreciate the writer and his efforts in making the crafts. They are always amazing.

The folded sticks card was wonderful and easy to make, plus my mother was so delighted when she opened it. We can make it for other occasions as well. I would suggest to the writer to keep on showing us how to make such amazing crafts.

When mommy’s gone

This is with reference to the story “When mommy’s gone” by Saira Owais Adil (YW, May 12). The writer highlighted major problems that kids face. Whatever a mother does is for the betterment of her children. Mothers are a blessing of God, so don’t take them for granted.
