HYDERABAD: Transfers criticized

HYDERABAD, June 3: The Sindh Professors and Lecturers Association has lashed out at the education department for transferring college teachers at the behest of a particular group. At a meeting held here on Friday, the SPLA observed that the transfers had created resentment among teachers, especially woman teachers.

The meeting regretted that senior professors had been bypassed and junior college teachers had been appointed as principals of colleges.

It alleged that the education department was destroying the educational system.

It demanded that the transfer orders should be cancelled and senior professors be appointed as principals of colleges.
