Shahbaz terms Imran a sign of U-turn

SARGODHA: PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif dares his opponent change his name if he fails to develop Pakistan like Malaysia and Turkey if his party is voted into power, once again, saying the PML-N always launched welfare-oriented projects.

He was addressing a public gathering at Bhagtanwala, some 24km from here, on Saturday.

Mocking at PTI Chairman Imran Khan, Shahbaz termed him a sign of U-turn and added if his picture was found on the road, the people would automatically consider it a U-turn sign. He said Imran had ruined Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with his inefficiency and corruption and that he was devoid of potential to do anything better for the country.

The PML-N chief alleged the Punjab government was extending undue favour to the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) as the caretaker home minister was an activist of the PTI.

He alleged the caretaker chief minister was working against the PML-N and clearly violating the democratic norms. He demanded that pre-poll rigging should be stopped by bringing all the relevant institutions on the same page.

Later on while addressing a gathering at Sillanwali, Shahbaz said Nawaz was put behind bars with his daughter because he had raised voice for respect to the vote and mandate of the people.

He appealed the people to come out of their homes on July 25 and vote for the PML-N.

Referring to the judgment of Peshawar High Court, Shahbaz alleged that Imran was guilty of corruption of Rs40bn in Metro project and bestowed contract to blacklisted firm.
