BSF hands over youth’s body to Punjab Rangers

SIALKOT: The Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) on Monday handed over the dead body of the Pakistani youth, Muhammad Naeem, to the Punjab Rangers during a flag meeting held on the Indian side.

Senior officials of the BSF and the Punjab Rangers attended the flag meeting. In the meeting the body was handed over to the Rangers.

The 20-year-old deceased, a resident of Chak Jhameel, who was stated to be suffering from mental health issue, on Sunday, mistakenly entered the Indian territory in Shakargarh Sector of Working Boundary. He was shot dead by the BSF personnel for illegally entering the Indian territory.

After receiving the body from the BSF, the Rangers officials handed it over to the local police for completion of legal process. After completion of the process, the body was handed over to the grieved family for burial.

The deceased was laid to rest after funeral prayers attended by a large number of locals.
