Website review: The power of girls
This is the age of equality. No one is superior to another. But if you are a girl, do you know the importance of yourself in the life of others and, above all, the power you possess?
You may know that, but reinforcing these to make your life more positive is far better than forgetting about them later on.
The website under review today is Etre — a women-empowerment site that tells girls exactly what it is like to be positive and strong, wise and smart, brave and informed, etc.
Etre means ‘to be’ and the founder Illana Raia reinforces the girls to think “What they want to be? What do they wish to accomplish? Whom do they seek to emulate? What kind of girls do they want to be?”
This self-awareness site focuses on girls eight years and onwards and is a complete dose of positivity.
Etre main menu is at the top centre. These are sections which basically help girls to ‘Be Informed’, ‘Be Strong’, ‘Be Smart’, ‘Be Brave’, ‘Be Charitable’, ‘Be Happy’, ‘Be Connected’, ‘Be Wise’ ‘Be Innovative’ and ‘Be Well-Read’.
Girls are told to be fearless and they are given examples of brave entrepreneurs, historical figures and other role models. Some sections link to news articles or other items that offer additional background and information. In general, it encourages girls to be inquisitive, kind, engaged and happy and stand out from the crowd.
You will also find reading suggestions, volunteering information, along with inspiring quotes from female attorneys, a pilot and other professionals.
Etre is an advice-based site committed to offering a safe experience where you don’t have to submit your name, email address, etc. You also can’t post comments or other content, specifically because the site wants to ensure no personal information is ever shared.
As for the layout, it is mostly text-based but broken in pieces, quotes and phrases with different font styles and font sizes to emphasise the point discussed. And there are also no ads, so it’s completely clutter free.
So girls, there is nothing which can stop you from growing smarter, braver and stronger, and discover your strength at https://www.etregirls.com/
