Imran’s victory speech
IMRAN Khan gave a mature and conciliatory victory speech. He assured the nation that as prime minister, he would strive to live up to the expectations built around him.
His remarks about shunning VIP culture and adopting a simple lifestyle have been welcomed by all and sundry. He also promised to devote an hour every week on national broadcasts to answer questions raised by the people or their representatives.
His post-victory utterances about his foreign policy priorities are praiseworthy and send positive vibes to all particularly the US and China.
I feel the nation and all stakeholders should give Imran a chance. He must be supported in achieving the objectives he has set out as all of them are for the good of our country. If he can deliver even half of what he has promised, Pakistan will be a better place.

IT is common to see our politicians making tall claims during election campaigns to garner votes, but they forget their promises soon after coming to power.
Imran Khan, unlike other politicians, had pledged to initiate the accountability process starting from himself and his ministers. He had promised to take steps to cut down expenditures to save public money. He has started fulfilling his promises. This has made him different than other politicians.
