Missing minor found dead in Sheikhupura

SHEIKHUPURA: A minor boy who went missing two days ago was found dead in a heap of garbage in Mauza Bhiki on Saturday.

Police claimed seven-year-old Ahsan Raza, the son of a labourer, had gone to his tuition centre, but did not return. His body was spotted by some passersby who alerted police. The body was sent for an autopsy.

Bhiki police, on the report of Raza’s father Yousaf, registered a case against unidentified killers and started an investigation. They suggested the boy could have been raped before being strangled. Further investigation was under way.

Similarly, in Nankana Sahib, a family protested in front of the local press club against the Sadar police. One of the protesters, Liaquat, told the media that his son Uzair, 13, had been kidnapped by his opponent three days ago. Later, Uzair’s body was found in an empty well, and police have failed to arrest his killers, including Shoaib and two others.

He demanded the regional police officer intervene and arrest the killers as soon as possible.
