Beaconhouse students top Cambridge and IB exams nationwide

The months of July and August witnessed the fruition of raw Pakistani talent and unparalleled dedication of Beaconhouse students from across the country as they received final results for the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP), CAIE O and A Levels and IGCSE, and Matriculation.

Beaconhouse students proved their mettle once again with outstanding results: the Class of 2018 stood out in Pakistan with a staggering 17,299 As in the O and A Levels.

Beaconhouse takes prides in proving itself as the leading IB school by surpassing the world average in both the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and the IB Middle Years Programme.

A number of Beaconhouse and TNS Beaconhouse students were ranked amongst the top 1% in the world in the final MYP eAssessments and top 4% in the world in the IBDP.

Achievers in the northern region

In Beaconhouse Northern Region (BNR), 9 campuses offer the CAIE A Levels, with 615 As and As obtained by students in these schools. Meanwhile, 3,642 As and As were obtained by students in 21 campuses offering the CAIE O Level exams.

BNR schools with the highest A Level mean GPAs included Jhelum A Level, Beaconhouse Educational Complex, Islamabad and Frontier Campus, Peshawar.

A few notable A Level achievers included: Fatima Amir from Beaconhouse Educational Complex, Islamabad with 1 A* and 4 As, Dua Siddiqui from Beaconhouse Margalla Islamabad with 1 A* and 3 As and Muhammad Musa Saleem from Beaconhouse Margalla Islamabad with 1 A* and 3 As.

The highest O Level achievers in BNR were Fatima Irfan from Beaconhouse Educational Complex Girls, Islamabad with 8 A* and 7 As, Muhammad Arham Malik from Beaconhouse Margalla Islamabad Boys with 6As and 7 As and Muhammad Danish Bukhari from F-11 Boys, Islamabad with 10 As and 2 As.

BNR Campuses with the highest mean GPAs in O Level were Beaconhouse Potohar Campus Girls, Beaconhouse Margalla Islamabad Girls and Mandi Bahauddin Campus.

IGCSE Result

This year, BNR’s highest IGCSE achievers were Syeda Mahnoor Raza from Beaconhouse Potohar Campus Girls, Islamabad with 9 As and 1 A, Zain Awan from Beaconhouse Newlands Islamabad with 6 As and 3 As and Adil Raheem Khan from Beaconhouse Potohar Campus Boys, Islamabad with 7 A*s and 1 A.

IB Result

Beaconhouse Margalla Islamabad (BMI) topped the IBDP in the city. The BNR IB high achievers were Chanchal Ravi Nankani, Hiba Fatima Ahmad and Rida Syeda from BMI with 38 points (out of 45) each.

Achievers in the central region

In Beaconhouse Central Region (BCR), ten Beaconhouse campuses offer the CAIE A Level examinations and 26 campuses offer the CAIE O Level examinations. Out of these, a total of 6,262 As and As were recorded in O Level, while 1,015 As and As were recorded for A Level exams.

BCR schools with the highest mean GPAs in A Level were Palm Tree Campus, Gujranwala, Sargodha A Level Campus and Liberty Campus, Lahore.

The highest achievers in BCR A Level were Unaiza Ahmad from Faisalabad A Level Campus with 4 As and 1 A, Gohar Saqib Fazal from Defence Campus, Lahore with 3 As and 2 As and Hira Shakeel and Huda Sajjad from College Campus Gulberg, Lahore with 2 A*s and 3 As each.

For O Level examinations, the highest achievers in BCR were Muhammad Ahmed from Canal Side Campus Boys, Lahore with 15 As, Muhammad Daniyal Javaid from Johar Town Campus Boys, Lahore with 7 As and 6 As and Fatima Khan from Canal Side Campus Girls, Lahore with 9 A*s and 3 As.

The BCR campuses, Canal Side Campus Girls, Model Town 78-A/1 Campus, Lahore and Palm Tree Girls Campus, Gujranwala held the top mean GPA in O Level.

IGCSE Result

This year, the highest achievers in the IGCSE from Cantt campus, Lahore were Zainab Fakhar with 7 As and 1 A, Ahmad Masud Khan with 5 As and 2 As and Syed Moiz Rauf with 3 A*s and 4 As.

IB Results

In BCR, Beaconhouse College Campus Gulberg (BCCG) achieved the best IB result average in Pakistan. The BCR IB high achievers include Sinnan Farooqui and Ayzar Ahmad from BCCG with 39 and 38 points respectively and Abdul Moiz from TNS Beaconhouse with 38 points.

TNS Beaconhouse topped the MYP in Pakistan and surpassed the world average by a large margin. The BCR MYP high achievers from TNS were Mahnum Malik and Mishael Aisha Hyat Ayub with 58 out of 63 each and Aleeha Nadeem Pirzada with 64 out of 70; the original scoring out of 56 in the MYP increases due to students opting for additional subjects.

Achievers in the southern region

699 A*s and As were recorded in six campuses that offer A Level in the Beaconhouse Southern Region (BSR).

BSR students with the highest grades were Hammad Uddin of Beaconhouse College Campus Gulshan with 2 As and 3 As and M. Shoaib Arshad of Beaconhouse College Campus PECHS with 3 As and 2 As.

Beaconhouse College Campus Gulshan, Beaconhouse College Campus Defence and Beaconhouse College Campus North Nazimabad had the top mean GPA in A Level within BSR.

Twelve campuses offer the O Level exam in BSR and the total number of A*s and As across the region was 5,066 this year.

The BSR O Level campuses with the highest mean GPAs were Rahim Yar Khan Branch, Gulistan-e-Jauhar Campus, and Jubilee Campus.

Top students include M. Haris Wassan from Qasimabad Campus with 8 As and 5 As, Hamza Nawaz Khan of Jubilee Campus with 11 As, Eliza Aisha from Jubilee Campus with 3 As and 9 As, Munib Ullah Azhar from PECHS Campus with 9 As and 2 As, Aahil Mansoor from PECHS Campus with 7 As and 4 As and Faraz Ali of Jubilee Campus with 7 As and 4 As.

IB Result

Beaconhouse College Campus PECHS (BCCP) in BSR attained outstanding IB results and the highest in Karachi. The BSR IB high achievers were Hiba Shoaib with 40 points and Ghayur Haider with 38 points from BCCP and Arish Ali from Beaconhouse College Campus Defence (BCCD) with 38 points.
