Rely on resilience

This is regarding the article “Rely on resilience” by Salman Ahmed Qureshi (YW, July 28). Life is not a bed of roses. And we should avail every chance to act smartly and use the capability to deal with problems and come back as fast and stronger as ever.

Resilience is not a miracle, but its effects are magical. Resilience brings ease to every hardship. When difficulty comes your way, do not cry, “Why me?”

Instead, say “Yes” to the call of situation. Eventually, this will lead to long-lasting achievements. Take on difficulties with a lion’s heart and make your life’s story stand out from the rest.

Youth, the nation’s saviours

This is with reference to the article “Youth, the nation’s saviours” by Ahsan Iqbal, published on August 4, 2018.

I found the article very inspiring and insightful. The writer has correctly said that “Youth is the only group that has the courage to stop the wrongdoings rather than just commenting on those problems”.

We, the youth, should realise the potential we have and we should take responsibility for the kind of future we want for our country and yourselves. Now that a new government has taken office in Pakistan, we need to also join in with our efforts to change all that we find wrong and do the right things that will lead to our country becoming a progressive and prosperous nation.

What Eid-ul-Azha teaches us

This is in reference to “What Eid-ul-Azha teaches us” by Fariha Sohail (YW, August 18, 2018). The writer is right that this Eid is not only for slaughtering sacrificial animals but for other things such as meeting family and sharing meat with them.

My favourite thing on Eid is when we go over to friends and relatives to give the meat from sacrificial animals and then we get to spend time with them.

Stop cutting trees

The purpose of writing this letter is to spread awareness among the public regarding the need to stop cutting down trees. Trees are important as they provide many benefits, such as clean air and a greener environment.

If we continue to cut trees, that means we are not protecting the trees and also failing to protect ourselves.
