KARACHI: Former Aust­ralian Test all-rounder Shane Watson has said that the shortest cricket format, T10, is likely to attract new cricket fans especially the younger ones.

Talking to this correspondent via Skype, the right-hander said the “challenging format” will make its space with the passage of time.

“Even the T20 format was not accepted immediately. Therefore, I believe the T10 will also meet success with the passage of time,” said Watson.

“It’s a challenging format, especially for the bowlers,” he added

Watson is the ‘icon player’ of the T10 franchise, Karachians. The second edition of the T10 league is scheduled to be held later this year.
