Two highwaymen killed in clash, say Dadu police
DADU: A joint team of the Faridabad police and Dadu CIA shot dead two suspected criminals in the mountainous area of Dilan, some 70 kilometres from here, near Faridabad town on Monday.
Dadu SSP Tanvir Ahmed Tunio told local reporters that the police team challenged “a gang of six criminals” after laying a siege to their hideout after receiving a tip-off about their presence at the particular place.
“The team using megaphone told the gangsters to surrender themselves before the police but they started firing.
The [gunfire] was returned during which two of the gangsters were gunned down. However, their four accomplices managed to escape,” the SSP said.
He identified the deceased as Shahzado aka Harif Bhayo and Abdul Fatah Agahi, both residents of Ghouspur town, and said they were members of a gang of highwaymen involved in snatching 14 four-wheelers in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur and Larkana. The vehicles used to be disposed of by the gang in Balochistan, he said.
One repeater and a pistol along with their ammunition were seized from the deceased suspects, the SSP said.
