PM Khan to leave for Saudi Arabia on Tuesday

Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit Saudi Arabia on a two-day tour from Sept 18 on the invitation of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman, read a statement issued by the PM Office.

The premier will be accompanied by Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Finance Minister Asad Umar and the prime minister's adviser on commerce, the statement read.

During his visit, PM Khan will hold meetings with the king and the crown prince. He will also attend a state banquet at the Royal Court.

Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Yousef bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen will also hold a meeting with the premier, the PM Office said.

The ministers accompanying PM Khan will also meet their Saudi counterparts to discuss bilateral issues.

The prime minister will also perform Umra and visit Madinah to pay his respects. On Sept 19 the prime minister and his delegation will travel to the United Arab Emirates where they will be received by Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

This will be Khan's first foreign tour as prime minister.
