SANGHAR: Bodies of man, woman remain unclaimed
SANGHAR, June 13: The bodies of a man and a woman found in the Jamrao Canal near Dilore Mori on Sunday have not been identified. The bodies are lying unclaimed in the taluka hospital. There are rumours in the area that the man and the woman were killed on the pretext of karo-kari.
Some villagers had informed the Dilore Mori police about the bodies. Edhi volunteers had shifted the bodies to the Jam Nawaz police station but police had not taken the bodies, saying they had not been recovered in their jurisdiction. Later, the bodies had been taken to the Tando Adam taluka police who had said they would only accept the woman’s body because it had been recovered in their jurisdiction. They had said the man’s body had been found in the jurisdiction of the Jam Nawaz police station.
Doctors of the taluka hospital had also refused to take the bodies without police letters but later agreed to keep the bodies in the mortuary.
The murder case of the woman has been registered at the taluka police station while the murder case of man is still to be decided due to the jurisdiction dispute.
