City School PAF, DK Campus, Cedar College clinch throwball titles

KARACHI: The City School PAF won the sub Junior category, The City School DK Campus won the Juniors category while Cedar College clinched both the A Level category as well as the University Level category in the 9th Culligan Girls Throwball Tournament 2018 which concluded at the The City School PAF Chapter here on Monday.

As many as 80 teams participated in the tournament which was organised by Sindh Throwball Association. Pakistan Throwball Federation’s international and national level referees conducted the tournament including Aisha Razak, Ivan Fredrick

Razimana Sultan, Darakshan Ehsan, Saman Anwer, Abu Sufyan, Jamal Uddin and Adnan Tareen.

Robin Yamin, Additional Director, FIA Sindh, who is also the SVP PTF, and Simon Glasson, Principal The City School PAF were the chief guests at the closing ceremony and distribution the cash prizes among the winners and runner up teams as well trophies, medals and certificates among the leading players.

Best players from each category were Amna of City School DK, Dua from Nixor College, Imran Zia of Ziauddin University, Kunsha from Habib Girls School and Anusha Afridi of Convent of Jesus and Mary.

Meanwhile, Secretary PTF and ATF Maqbool Arain, announced on the occasion that the PTF will host the 8th

Asian Throwball Championship 2018 in Karachi in which eight international teams will be participating.

1st Position, The City School DK Campus

2nd Position: DHA Phase IV

3rd Position: Convent Jesus Mary of School (CJM)

Senior A Level Category:

1st Position, Cedar College

2nd Position: Nixor College white

3rd Position: DCW College Defense

University Level Category:

1st Position, Cedar College

2nd Position: NTA Academy

3rd Position: Ziauddin A University.
