Rapist constable sentenced to death

QUETTA: District and Sessions Judge Mubeen Ali sentenced a police constable to death on two counts on Wednesday after charges of raping a girl and other children were proved against him.

Constable Tayyab Raza Kazmi, a resident of Police Line, Quetta, was arrested in 2015 on the charges of sexually abusing the little daughter of a police officer.

Later, pictures showing him raping the girl were found in his laptop.

During investigation it was revealed that the accused was involved in raping and taking pictures of other children. The victim children during identification had recognised the accused.

Police said pictures of several other children whom the accused sexually abused were found in his laptop and mobile phone.

After concluding the hearings and testimony of witnesses, the court awarded death sentence to the accused twice.
