Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese unite
Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese haven’t worked together on a feature film since the acclaimed film The Wolf of Wall Street. That is set to change with an adaptation of best-selling novel Killers of the Flower Moon.
The story is set in 1920s Oklahoma and revolves around the Osage Nation, who were the richest people per capita in the world after oil was discovered under their land. However, the Osage Nation were murdered one by one.
As the deaths increased, the newly created FBI investigated and unravelled a haunting conspiracy and a horrific crime that will haunt America’s history. The film is being produced by Imperative Entertainment, who confirmed the film and those involved in a statement.
Scorsese words about why he was inspired were, “When I read David Grann’s book, I immediately started seeing it – the people, the settings, the action — and I knew that I had to make it into a movie.
“I’m so excited to be working with Eric Roth and reuniting with Leo DiCaprio to bring this truly unsettling American story to the screen.”
DiCaprio is due to appear in Quentin Tarantino’s film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, while Scorsese is working on gangster drama The Irishman with Netflix.
