‘Problems of Swabi people to be resolved’
SWABI: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf MPAs Rangaiz Khan and Aqibullah Khan assured the people during an open kutchery on Friday that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government would resolve the gas- and electricity-related issues of the people.
Besides the two MPAs the open kutchery held at Bamkhel was also attended by district police officer Khalid Hamdani, deputy commissioner Salman Lodhi, Public Safety Commission chairman Mohammad Rashid advocate, members of the dispute resolution council and people of Bamkhel and its nearby areas.
The main issues raised by the people included provision of gas to new connection seekers, establishment of more educational institutions and resolution of traffic issues and other local problems. This was the first time that the lawmakers attended a gathering and listened to the people’s problems.
The participants pressed Mr Aqibullah to fulfil the promise he had made with the people about provision of gas. They demanded establishment of more educational institutions and opposed the government decision to acquire land for a grad station in the area. Police officials said that they were committed to resolving security problems of the people.
