Work begins to end low gas pressure in Peshawar, NA speaker told
ISLAMABAD: Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited Managing Director Amjad Latif assured National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser on Sunday that SNGPL had started work on a project to end the low gas pressure problem being faced by the people of Peshawar and its adjoining areas.
The SNGPL managing director gave the assurance during a meeting chaired by the NA speaker here, according to an official statement.
Mr Latif said that under the project, a new gas transmission pipeline was being laid side by side the main gas pipeline from Dara Adamkhel to Hayatabad, covering a distance of 32 kilometres.
He told the meeting that the already laid old gas pipelines of the city were also being replaced with the new ones to end the problem on a permanent basis.
The meeting was attended by MNAs Ali Mohammad Khan, Mujahid Khan, Noor Alam Khan, Arbab Sher Ali, Arbab Amir Ayub, Malik Anwar Taj and Usman Khan Tarakai.
