HYDERABAD: Benazir’s birthday celebrated

HYDERABAD, June 21: The People’s Party Parliamentarian celebrated the 52nd birthday of party leader Benazir Bhutto across Sindh on Tuesday. Two cakes were cut at two functions in the city. Asad Bhurgari, a son of the PPP’s jailed MPA Zahid Bhurgari, cut a cake to mark the birthday.

The vice-president of the party’s city chapter, Aman Siyal, Saleem Shah, Zaheer Ghuman and Roshan Solangi attended the function.

At another function party leaders Mir Fateh Talpur, Maula Bux Chandio, Pasha Qazi and Aftab Khanzado cut a 52-pound cake.

The president of the Sindh Study Circle, Mr Maula Bux Chandio, said prosperity of the country was impossible without Benazir Bhutto.

He said the party would continue struggle for supremacy of the Constitution and for the rights of people.

Mir Fateh Talpur said Benazir Bhutto was capable of tackling the issues of joblessness and inflation in the country.

LARKANA: A 52-pound cake was cut at the residence of MPA Haji Munawar Ali Abbasi in the Waleed village.

Begum Ashraf Abbasi, former deputy speaker of the National Assembly, MPA Ayaz Soomro and Ghafoor Bhurgari participated in the function.

Asghar Shaikh, information secretary of the district chapter of the party, arranged another function at his residence.

Clothes were distributed among widows and poor.

In another function at a local hotel PPP leaders and activists gathered and a cake of 52 pounds was cut.

Agha Siraj Durrani, divisional president of the party, was the chief guest on the occasion.

SUKKUR: The birthday was celebrated at the residence of former president of the Sindh People’s Student Federation, Dr Arshad Mughal, on Tuesday.

The ceremony was largely attended by party workers including member of the PPP federal council Agha Saifullah, PPP city president Zafar Mirani, Qamar Khoso, Zubair Tunio, Bilawal Gadani, Anwar Soomro, Ajab Khan, Saif Buledi, Ghulam Abbas Sial and Ehsan Baloch.

Dr Arshad Mughal criticized the division of the Sukkur district and termed it as anti-people policy which would cause negative impact on the people.

Another ceremony was held at the divisional office of the PPP Sukkur.

Ex-MPA Ghulam Qadir Bhutto criticized the Sindh government for dividing the district on ethnic lines.

NAWABSHAH: Members of the People’s Party Parliamentarians celebrated the 52nd birth anniversary of Benazir Bhutto on Tuesday.

A function was held at the PPP district office in Gharibabad.

Activists the PPP, People’s Youth, Ladies Wing and SPSF attended the function.
