Wonder Craft: Three-D tulip card

With the boom in technology, many things have taken the backseat, one of which is the exchange of cards on birthdays and other special occasions. But this doesn’t mean these cards have lost their meaning or significance in this time. They still look unique and give the receiver a feeling of being important.

Therefore, today we are making a 3D tulip card which you can either paste it in your room as your latest creation or give someone as an expression of love and care. Let’s start making the card then.

Things you need

  1. Coloured papers (at least four colours; the more the better)

  2. Green paper for making the stem and leaves (you can use marker as well)

  3. One white paper: A4 size

  4. Scissors

  5. Pencil

  6. Glue stick

Directions

To make the heart

  1. Two-fold the white paper and draw a semi-heart and then cut it out, as in pictures 2 and 3.

  2. Put the white heart on the pink paper and cut out the heart from the pink paper again, but this time the heart will be one centimetre bigger than the white; pictures 4 and 5.

  3. Glue on the white heart over the pink then put it aside, picture 6.

To make the flower:

  1. Take the remaining white paper and draw tulip on it. Cut it out as in picture 7.

  2. The tulip’s height has to be 1.5-inches (maximum 2-inches).

  3. Now use this white tulip as your template for cutting the same size of tulips from other coloured papers, pictures 8 and 9.

  4. Two-fold the tulips in half and glue the halves on top of the other, as in pictures 10, 11 and 12.

  5. Cut out the leaves and stem from green paper, picture 13.

  6. Glue the stem in the middle of the white heart then two leaves and tulip accordingly (let it dry). Picture 14.

  7. Fold the heart in half for the glue to set; when dry, you can write your message inside it.

Note: You can paste the card anywhere or present it just the way it is; or use any coloured A4-size paper and paste the heart inside it then two fold to give it a proper card look.
