Three ‘militants’ killed in Angoor Adda blast

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Three suspected militants reportedly belonging to the Haqqani network were killed and 12 others suffered injuries when an explosive device went off at their hideout in Angoor Adda bazaar, South Waziristan tribal district, on Thursday.

The bomb planted at the office of Taliban leader Neak went off with a bang at 7am. As a result, three militants were killed and 12 others got injured.

The injured, some of them in a critical condition, were taken to a private hospital in the area.

All the three bodies were sent to Afghanistan. Two of the dead were identified as Shamir and Zulfiqar. Some of the injured were identified as Jamshed, deputy commander of the Neak group, Sardar Khan, Saidgi, Gul Mallay and Sabir. No one claimed responsibility for the attack.

Both the Taliban and security forces were tight-lipped about the incident. However, an official at the district administration, who wished not to be named, confirmed the incident.
