Mickey Mouse’s 90th anniversary

Everybody loves Mickey, and diehard fans are going to want to try get their hands on the latest offering from Studio Press.

The release of Where’s Mickey?, a limited print run, forms part of the celebrations marking Mickey Mouse’s 90th anniversary this November. Disney fans will have the chance to find an exclusive gold foil Mickey in a small number of their new search-and-find book, Where’s Mickey?

The hidden gold foil Mickey will feature in just 90 copies of this official Disney title.

The book, which will be published in November, will see the world’s most recognisable cartoon character travel across the globe and through time with a host of his famous friends.

In each location, you’ll search for Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto sailing down rivers, climbing mountains and exploring cities across the world.

And that elusive, special ‘golden Mickey’ will be hidden on one of these spreads.

Mary Poppins Returns unveils new characters

It’s not long now until Mary Poppins Returns — the highly anticipated sequel to everyone’s favourite film about a singing nanny — hits our screens. The film will follow the story of Michael Banks and the difficulties he faces after his wife dies leaving him to bring up his three children alone.

And as always, when things get tough, Mary, with a little help from her friends, is on hand to help set things right. As well as releasing a brand new trailer with new songs in the run-up to its December release date, Disney have also given us a better look at some of the characters, old and new, that will be sharing the journey with us.

The iconic role of lovable nanny Mary Poppins being played by British actress Emily Blunt, who was very open about her fears of stepping into Julie Andrews’ shoes.

Johnny Depp out of Pirates franchise?

Johnny Depp has played Captain Jack Sparrow for the last 15 years. But there are rumours that he won’t be reprising his role as Captain Jack Sparrow, a Pirates of the Caribbean screenwriter has suggested.

Stuart Beattie, a scriptwriter for the movies, appeared to confirm the 55-year-old wouldn’t be back.

He said: “I think he’s had a great run. Obviously, he’s made that character his own and it’s become the character he’s most famous for now. And kids all over the world love him as that character so I think it’s been great for him, it’s been great for us. So I’m just very, very happy about it.”

New Robin Hood film clip

The makers of the new action-thriller revamp of the Robin Hood legend have released a new clip that gives an insight into what fans can expect.

Robin of Loxley (Taron Egerton) a war-hardened crusader and his Moorish commander (Jamie Foxx) mount an audacious revolt against the corrupt English crown in a thrilling action-adventure packed with gritty battlefield exploits, mind-blowing fight choreography, and a timeless romance.

The new clip released for the film features a look at a rip-roaring action set piece, which sees Robin make a perilous escape from his enemies.

The film is directed by Otto Bathurst(Peaky Blinders & Black Mirror) and stars Taron Egerton, Jamie Foxx, Ben Mendelsohn, Eve Hewson, Tim Minchin and Jamie Dornan.

Reynolds voices Pikachu

The first trailer for Detective Pikachu has arrived — and Pikachu speaks! Ryan Reynolds is the voice of everyone’s favourite Pokémon in the first ever live-action movie from the popular franchise, which has ‘real-life’ monsters.

In a trailer recently released, we see the intrepid detective traverse Ryme City looking for his former partner. Directed by Rob Letterman, the film is based on a spin-off title released exclusively in Japan for the Nintendo 3DS system, commonly referred to as Great Detective Pikachu, and is already going down well with fans and non-fans alike. Alongside Reynolds and Smith, the cast also features Big Little Lies star Kathryn Newton as Lucy, a junior reporter following her first big story, and Oscar nominee Ken Watanabe as Lt. Yoshida.
