Minister opens gas project in Mardan

MARDAN: Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Mohammad Khan on Saturday inaugurated a gas pipeline project in PK-48 constituency here.

The inaugural ceremony was held in Katlang area which was also attended by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf MNA Mujahid Khan, MPA Malik Shaukat, journalist Rehimullah Yousafzai and elders.

Addressing the participants, the federal state minister said that the 19-kilometre-long gas pipeline project would be completed by Jun 30, 2019, with a total cost of Rs880 million.

He disclosed that more than 300 distribution lines would be connected with the main pipeline to provide gas connections to various areas located in the PK-48 constituency. He said the PTI-led coalition government was committed to providing all basic facilities of life to the citizens.

He claimed that Prime Minister Imran Khan was the only leader who could steer the country out of current financial crisis.

He blamed the previous rulers belonging to Pakistan Peoples Party, Pakistan Muslim League-N and other political parties for ruthlessly looting the exchequer, which had heavily indebted the country with the IMF and other foreign loans, leading to severe financial crisis.

He, however, said the PTI government was going to deal with all corrupt politicians and officials with an iron hand.
