Human rights workshops in 20 Multan villages
LAHORE: In order to create community peace assemblies the Youth Commission for Human Rights has conducted training workshops of “Wasaib Aman Kath” in 20 villages of UC Jungle Kalraan of Bosan Town, Multan.
A total of 349 participants took part in the training, say organisers, adding that the aim of it is to promote peace and harmony in the targeted villages.
They say the participants deliberated upon issues pertaining to extremism, terrorism and sectarianism and discussed the importance of religious peace and harmony, and came up with different ways to promote religious harmony in their respective communities.
They also made their individual social action plans geared towards promoting peace and tolerance in society, says a press release issued here on Sunday.
