Mission clean and green Pakistan

The government announced a mission that is ‘Clean and green Pakistan’. It is a brilliant idea.

Our Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, “Cleanliness is half of faith”, so if we keep Pakistan clean.

Green Pakistan means planting more trees.

I hope that our government will complete this mission and will keep Pakistan clean and green.

Schools in Kashmore district

There are many primary, middle and secondary schools in Kashmore district, but none is administered in a way to be a school offering quality education. There are more than 10,000 students passing every year from these government schools, but only 10 percent of these students can structure a sentence properly, speak, understand and write English well.

The future of these students is dark. There is no educational counselling for students to let them know the importance of education in their lives. The government should seriously look into the matter and improve the conditions of these schools.

Gratitude

Have you ever pondered over the fact that whenever we want to achieve something or succeed in one of our goals, we pray for it? We pray hard and hope. But once we achieve it, there’s only a brief moment of gratitude and then it vanishes.

A couple days later, we’ll want something else and the cycle goes on. We only show gratitude for things that we recently get and mostly over worldly possessions and achievements, but never on the things that had truly mattered. We are rarely grateful to God for a loving family, a bed to sleep on or for the food in our plates.

We are rarely grateful to our friends for supporting us during our hard times or cheering for us on our achievements. Sadly, we’ll only show them our gratitude when they shower us with expensive presents and compliments.

Please show your gratitude to your loved ones to nurture a positive and thoughtful society!

The power of books

This is with reference to the article “Power of books” by Alia Nazeer (YW, November 17). I was inspired by this article which was very useful for those who dislike books and avoid reading.

The writer discussed the many benefits of books, for instance, that reading books is motivational and helpful in any harsh or difficult situation.
