‘Clean and green KP’ app launched

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Wednesday inaugurated ‘clean and green KP’ app.

The app was launched at a function, where senior minister Mohammad Atif Khan, ministers Shaukat Ali Yousafzai, Shakeel Khan, special assistant to chief minister on science and information technology Kamran Bangash, Peshawar district nazim Mohammad Asim, and other officials were also present.

The chief minister said induction of modern technology into the governance system would ease out the decision making process.

Mahmood Khan said the governance system needed to be put on modern lines.

He said because of red tape, delaying tactics and status quo the public sector institutions failed to achieve their targets. He said his government would remove all obstacles obstructing the development of society.

The chief minister assured that he would take along the academia in the process of introducing modern technology to streamline the government functions.

He said IT and ST departments would be empowered to cope with the future challenges.

He said the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan was to give the new generation a green and clean Pakistan.

He said such measures were a shift from the traditional approach for addressing the environment-related hazards and ensuring good governance through participatory approach.

The government, he assured, would focus on addressing the weaknesses to be identified by the people and there would be a strict monitoring mechanism.

Special assistant Kamran Bangash said the technological induction would lead to greater public participation.

The people would now have a forum to register their complaints on the activities being carried out under the ‘clean and green KP’ initiative which would be addressed by the relevant officials, he added.
