Army says it has shot down 'Indian quadcopter' spying across LoC

The military’s spokesperson on Tuesday claimed that the security personnel have shot down an “Indian quadcopter” they suspected of spying over Bagh sector along the line of control (LoC).

In a statement tweeted by Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor, the director general of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said the suspected spy drone was shot down on Saturday evening. “Not even a quadcopter will be allowed to cross the LoC,” he maintained.

From the pictures tweeted by the ISPR chief, it seemed that the quadcopter being used was of the commercially available variety of drones.

The military maintains that the 'spy drones' are used for aerial photography.
