Malaria in Sukkur

INCREASING cases of malaria are being reported from hospitals and clinics in Sukkur. The reason for the outbreak is the stagnant water standing at many places in the city.

To make matters worse, many of the ditches in different areas have accumulated dirty water turning them into smelly ponds emanating a foul odour and turning into a breeding place for mosquitos.

The municipal and district authorities should conduct a cleanliness and mosquito eradication campaign.
