Two brothers shot dead over land dispute in Ghotki village
SUKKUR: Two brothers were shot dead in Khan village of Ghotki district late on Sunday evening.
Ghulam Mohammad and Nazal Khan, sons of Din Mohammad Chandio, were residents of Warah town and had travelled to the village only a few days ago. They were employed as gardeners by a landowner, Ramzan Bhutto, and provided lodging. On Sunday evening, three assailants sneaked into Mr Bhutto’s residence, shot dead the two brothers and escaped, according to officials of the Gemro police station.
The FIR of the incident was lodged by Mr Bhutto, who nominated Ghulam Qadir, Juma and Akbar Gaincho — all residents of Warah town — as the suspects, informing the police that they had a land dispute with the victims.
The police were investigating the matter. No arrest was made till late on Monday evening.
Armed clash leaves two men dead
An armed clash between the Sabzoi and Jagirani communities of kutcha area in Kandhkot left one person each from the two sides dead late on Sunday evening, the Durrani police reported on Monday.
They said that armed men from the two communities, embroiled in an old enmity for some time, traded gunfire that resulted in the spontaneous death of two persons, Yaseen Sabzoi and Wakeel Jagirani.
The police said that the bodies were taken away by their respective heirs, who did not allow a post-mortem examination to be performed. They also did not turn up for lodging an FIR of the incident, the police added.
