Sahiwal
WHEN I heard about the Sahiwal tragedy, the only thing I could hear was my own heartbeat. It is too late to save the children involved in the trauma. They are too young to understand the darkness of the world around.
No matter how much you try to empathise with them, you cannot imagine what they must have felt like seeing their parents and sister in a pool of blood – their loved ones nothing more than flesh and bones ready to decay!
The whole nation has reacted with shock and grief, for the murders served to wake up our innate moral compass and love. Perhaps this atrocity could instil some sense into our society. I truly hope that justice is served. May God save Pakistan!
