Friends have agreed to aid Pakistan: Qureshi
MULTAN: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi says owing to ‘successful’ foreign policy, the friendly countries have agreed to provide financial assistance.
Talking to various delegations of his constituency here on Saturday, he said Saudi Arabia agreed to give oil worth $3 billion [on deferred payment] while Qatar now would import agricultural products from Pakistan instead of India.
“Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to Qatar remained successful and Emir-i-Qatar announced agreements and investment with Pakistan in housing, agriculture, tourism and other sectors,” he said. He said Pakistan’s relations with various countries were improving after the PTI government came into power.
He said ambassadors were asked to concentrate on economic diplomacy.
“Homework on the creation of south Punjab province is under way and soon a unanimous line of action will be announced,” he said.
