Aspiring model with Down’s Syndrome

Kate Grant, who has Down’s Syndrome, is quite the esteemed model. The 20-year-old from Co Tyrone, Northern Ireland, was crowned champion in the Teen Ultimate Beauty Of The World pageant, modelled on the catwalk at Belfast Fashion Week and also appeared on ITV show. And now she has become a brand ambassador for Benefit cosmetics.

The beauty brand chose her after an image of Kate wearing their eyeliner received a lot of love on their Instagram page. The picture has already received nearly 5,000 likes.

“She is paving the way for people coming behind her,” said proud mum Deidre. “Kate is aware of that and wants to spread awareness about inclusion for people with disabilities and that is what she has done from the very start. She is aware that she is able to do that in a way some of her friends cannot. She is using her voice for them. I love her optimism and, as her mum, I would always be there to support her in that optimism.”

Zachary Levi in Shazam! trailer

Zachary Levi’s titular superhero is fighting villains and shopping for a lair in the new trailer for the action-comedy Shazam!

Director David F. Sandberg helmed Shazam!, which is due in theatres April 5. The movie stars Asher Angel as Billy Batson, a 14-year-old foster child who gains the ability to turn into the adult superhero Shazam, played by Levi. Mark Strong plays his nemesis Dr Thaddeus Sivana. The ensemble also includes Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Djimon Hounsou, Cooper Andrews and Marta Milans.

Still a kid at heart, Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them, a synopsis said.

Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr Thaddeus Sivana.”

Two Mission: Impossible sequels

Good news for fans of the movie Mission Impossible, as Tom Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie have signed on for two more Mission: Impossible sequels, studio Paramount has announced.

The sequels are set for release in the summers of 2021 and 2022. Cruise and McQuarrie last collaborated together on Mission: Impossible — Fallout, which was released in July.

The new entries will be filmed back-to-back with McQuarrie also penning both films. Cruise confirmed the sequels on Twitter as well alongside a brief video of the Mission: Impossible logo with two fuses burning.
