Missing nature

WHEN was the last you saw the sun set, or the waves crashing into each other? Or felt the cold morning mist against your face? Think hard and you will recall that it has been a while since you’ve taken some pleasure from Mother Nature. It seems we are no longer familiar with our environment and all of us are living in a world where we have become slaves to our petty needs.

Our life is a big bubble that consists mainly of our need for social media or our anxiety for upcoming exams, social prejudices, maybe a new TV series, and in large doses procrastination in doing mundane daily tasks. If we burst this bubble we come to realise that we are missing out on the calm serene environment of nature, the sound of dry leaves crunching under our feet, our bodies aching for a breath of fresh air etc, and so forth.

These are the things which help us overcome the fears and negativity present in our lives.
