Wasa sends two water bowsers to Murree

RAWALPINDI: The Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) has sent two water bowsers to Murree as the hill station has been hit by water shortage after snowfall.

Wasa spokesman Umer Farooq told Dawn that the bowsers will remain in Murree along with staff to provide water to residents under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Murree.

He said the RDA Chairman Arif Abbasi had directed Wasa to dispatch the water bowser to help district administration to overcome the water shortage.

“The water bowsers will get water from the tube wells in and around the Murree and supplied it to the local residents,” he said.

He said water supply was not possible through the supply lines due to frosty conditions.

He said the Murree administration had requested RDA Chairman the send the bowsers and he asked Wasa to help Murree administration in this regard.
