PTI govt lacks decision-making power, says Siraj
GUJRAT: Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) emir Senator Sirajul Haq says the PTI government lacks decision-making power which has been obvious with its consistently changing position on various issues like it had made Shahbaz Sharif chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) and now it has itself started seeking resignation of the PAC chairman.
He expressed these views while speaking to a gathering after laying the foundation stone of Islamic centre in Lalamusa on Saturday.
Mr Siraj said neither his party (JI) nor the other opposition parties wanted to launch an agitation against the government but it was causing threat to itself through its confusing policies. He said jokes were circling around about the poor decision-making power of constantly changing position of the government.
The JI chief added that if the government did not want to provide facilities to the pilgrims to Saudi Arabia, then at least it should not make the Haj a source of earning. He said the claimants of making Pakistan as a state of Medina should learn from the regional countries like Afghanistan, Bangladesh and India where governments would offer subsidy and facilities to the pilgrims for performing Hajj.
Punjab (North) JI emir Dr Tariq Saleem and other local leaders also spoke on the occasion.
Sirajul Haq visited Mandi Bahauddin where he attended a wedding ceremony of the son of a local party leader.
