‘Saudi prince’s visit a new milestone of friendship’

LAHORE: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has set a new example of brotherhood through an investment of $20 billion in Pakistan, Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar said here on Monday.

In a statement, he said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia signed many memorandums of understanding (MoUs) and contracts regarding investments in various projects, through which more investments will be brought to Pakistan in the near future.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has proved to be a successful leader with his benefiting policies, and that also the (Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf) government is working hard for bringing the country out of crisis. The decision of the Saudi government about the release of Pakistani prisoners is no less than a gift.

Regarding the Saudi prince’s visit, the governor said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Imran Khan, we have put the first building block of a new Pakistan by eliminating corruption and injustice. World trusts and believes the PTI good governance will take the country to a new level of success and the prosperity.

Saudi Arab has always been standing by Pakistan’s through thick and thin and working with us hand in hand for the prosperity of Pakistan.

He said the previous records of investments in Pakistan had been crossed in the leadership of the crown prince. This does not stop here, as the Saudi leadership will keep on increasing investment in the form of new projects. The result of these projects will be incredible and they will not only remove unemployment but will also strengthen the bond. The country will become financially strong soon, as Mr Khan and his team are working day and night to pull out the country from the dark shadows of the economic crisis. The decisions of the government are in accordance with the hopes of the public and we will never upset our people. Pakistanis will not only be provided with health and education facilities but with other necessities of life.

RASHEED: The release of Pakistani prisoners languishing in Saudi jails, announced by the Saudi crown prince, is reflective of tremendous diplomatic success of Pakistan, says Minister for Housing and Urban Development Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed.

In a statement, he said: “Prime Minister Imran Khan has initiated a new era of warm relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Our past rulers used to establish personal relations with the Saudi royal family on Pakistan’s interest.”

Mr Khan has adopted a marvelous diplomatic strategy to get the Pakistani prisoners released from the Saudi jails which shows that the present regime is making efforts to drive the country towards new horizons of progress and prosperity, the minister added.

Mr Rasheed said the visionary leadership of the prime minister has driven Pak-Saudi relations to new heights, due to which the nation would receive positive results of the visit of Saudi prince to Pakistan. Securing the release of Pakistani prisoners from Saudi jails was one of the major achievements by the government, he added. The minister said that MoUs worth $20 billion signed during the visit of the crown prince will usher in new era of prosperity and strengthen the national economy which would result in further enhancing economic relations between the two brotherly countries.
