Tackling bullies
This is with reference to the cover story “Tackling bullies” by Yasmin Elahi (YW, January 26). The article depicted various attitudes of bullies towards kids in schools and colleges.
Every student needs good mental health to secure high grades in his/her academics and if there is any disturbance, for instance, bullying, students get mentally disturbed during their school years.
The article also reminded me of my school days when at one time, I also became a victim of bullying. But after sometime, I realised that it was I who can fight them so I ignored the bullies and at the same time complained to the school authorities.
These issues are very crucial for young readers and should be highlighted and written about every now and then. I appreciate the YW magazine for doing such a great job in bringing these topics to every reader’s attention.

Young World has always been a magazine that carries articles that aim to guide youngsters about their future and character building skills. The article “Tackling bullies” by Yasmin Elahi was one such article about a situation most youngsters face in their schools, colleges and universities.
The writer’s suggestions on how to face a bully were truly useful and I think one can easily teach a lesson to bullies by following the tactics explained in the article.

Alone during a thunderstorm
This is with reference to the story “Alone during a thunderstorm” by Rida Ahmed (YW, January 26). The story was well-narrated and left two important messages for everyone. First, no matter how bad a situation is, one must hold on to his/her nerves and be optimistic. Second, one should never leave a child home alone as it could lead to harmful unforeseen situations.

A helping friend
This is regarding the story “A helping friend ’’ by Iqra Aslam Memon (YW, January 26). The story was short, but wonderful. The story gave the message that those who are good in studies need to help those who need guidance. In this way, no child will remain dull or weak in studies.

This is regarding the website review “Times tables made easy” by Asif Ali (YW, February 2). It was a marvellous website. I really enjoyed reading about it and after I checked it out, I found it to be very helpful in teaching kids about times tables. All the games and activities were fun to do and one can easily learn times tables through them.
