LARKANA, to which some notable PPP leaders belong, is facing not just the lack of facilities but also quality education, healthcare infrastructure, law and order problems, efficient drainage systems, etc.

More than 260 employees of the Larkana Development Authority are currently protesting, with a hunger strike staged at the Karachi Press Club. They have not been given their salaries, much less promotions.

A corrupt administration is complicit, they believe. The protesting workers have no money to feed their families or — more importantly — pay house rents.
