Man on ATA list kidnapped in Rawalpindi
RAWALPINDI: Unidentified persons kidnapped Farrukh Imtiaz Khokhar, who was placed on fourth schedule of the Anti-Terrorism Act by Islamabad’s district administration and Rawalpindi police in November, as soon as he left a police station on Thursday.
Mr Khokhar had gone to the Airport police station to comply with a section of the Anti-Terrorism Act of 1997 that requires individuals placed on the fourth schedule to inform police before leaving their hometowns and upon return.
Activities of all such individuals are monitored regularly by police and their presence at the given home address is also checked regularly.
Farrukh Imtiaz Khokhar and his father, Imtiaz Ali Khokhar alias Taji Khokhar, were placed on fourth schedule of the Anti-Terrorism Act of 1997 after police booked them in a murder case on Aug 17, 2012.
